Editorial Policy

AI-content notice. HappierFit is an AI-assisted publication: our content is produced with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) under the editorial direction of BRICK30 TECHNOLOGIES, LLC. Each byline on this site — including AEGIS and all named contributors (Marcus Webb, Priya Sharma, Daniel Reyes, James Redmond, Elena Vasquez, Sarah Chen, and others) — names a recurring editorial column rather than a real individual, and does not represent real-world professional credentials. All content is for educational and informational purposes and is not professional, medical, or mental-health advice. See our full Disclaimer.

Editorial Policy

HappierFit is committed to publishing accurate, evidence-based content on emotional fitness, mental health, and related topics. This page documents our editorial standards.

Editorial Mission

HappierFit exists to occupy the evidence-based + emotionally authentic intersection in men’s mental health publishing. We believe most “men’s wellness” media leaves men under-served by either over-clinical framing or self-help platitudes. Our editorial work is held to that mission: clinically accurate, emotionally honest, accessible, and free of therapy-speak.

Sourcing Standards

For every clinical claim, we aim to cite:

  • Tier 1 (preferred): peer-reviewed research published in indexed journals (PubMed, JAMA, Lancet, Nature, NEJM)
  • Tier 2: guidelines from professional bodies (APA, ADAA, NIMH, NIH, CDC, WHO)
  • Tier 3 (acceptable for context): reputable health publications (Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Harvard Health)

We do not cite anonymous health blogs, supplement marketing pages, or non-peer-reviewed claims as sources of fact.

Validated Instruments

The HappierFit Score™ assessment is built on adaptations of validated psychological instruments: the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (Bagby, Parker, & Taylor, 1994), the Perceived Stress Scale (Cohen, Kamarck, & Mermelstein, 1983), the UCLA Loneliness Scale (Russell, 1996), the Maslach Burnout Inventory (Maslach & Jackson, 1981), and the Meaning in Life Questionnaire (Steger, Frazier, Oishi, & Kaler, 2006). Our adaptations are not the same as administering these instruments clinically and do not produce diagnostic results.

Editorial Process

  1. Topic selection — driven by reader demand (newsletter responses, search trends), open evidence gaps in men’s mental health publishing, and emerging research areas
  2. Research — primary literature review for any clinical claim; minimum 3 sources per major topic article
  3. Drafting — drafted with AI (large language models) for research synthesis and writing, under HappierFit’s editorial direction and the sourcing standards above (see “AI Use” below)
  4. Review — published content is held to the sourcing, accuracy, voice, and FTC affiliate-compliance standards on this page
  5. Updates — articles on rapidly-evolving topics (e.g., GLP-1 medications, new clinical trial results) are reviewed quarterly and updated when material new evidence emerges

AI Use Disclosure

HappierFit uses AI tooling (large language models) as a research and drafting assistant. AI is used for: literature synthesis, draft generation, and editing. BRICK30 TECHNOLOGIES, LLC is the accountable publisher for all content on this site and sets the topics, voice, and sourcing standards under which it is produced.
