Cutting sugar - week 1 report
Quote from Alex D. on February 3, 2026, 8:30 amDecided to cut added sugar for a month after reading about how it affects inflammation and mental health. Day 7 and honestly the first 3 days were BRUTAL. Headaches, irritability, cravings like crazy. Day 4-5 started getting better. Today (day 7) I actually feel pretty good and slept better than I have in months.
Anyone else done this? Does it keep getting better or does it plateau?

Quote from Jess T. on February 3, 2026, 12:00 pmIt keeps getting better. I did a similar thing last year and by week 3 my energy was way more stable throughout the day. No more afternoon crashes. The cravings mostly go away but birthdays and holidays are still hard haha.
Biggest unexpected benefit was how much better my skin looked. My wife noticed before I did.

Quote from Marcus J. on February 4, 2026, 7:15 amThe first week is the hardest by far. Your body is literally going through a mild withdrawal. It gets significantly easier. By month 2 sweet stuff actually tasted TOO sweet to me. I couldn't finish a soda.
Watch out for hidden sugars though - sauces, bread, yogurt, "healthy" granola bars. They sneak it into everything.
