Anyone tried BetterHelp or online therapy?
Quote from Marcus J. on December 1, 2025, 11:30 amLooking into online therapy options because I travel a lot for work and can't commit to weekly in-person appointments. Has anyone here used BetterHelp or similar? Wondering if its actually legit or if in-person is significantly better.
Budget is a consideration too - my insurance doesn't cover mental health (which is insane but thats another rant).

Quote from Dave K. on December 1, 2025, 3:00 pmI've been using BetterHelp for about 6 months now. Honestly its been great for my situation - I work weird hours and travel a lot too. The messaging feature between sessions is really helpful, like being able to text my therapist when something comes up instead of waiting a week.
Its not cheap without insurance but compared to out-of-pocket in-person rates its actually pretty reasonable.

Quote from Ryan S. on December 2, 2025, 8:45 amStarted with online therapy during covid and never went back. For me the convenience factor alone makes it worth it. I do my sessions from my car during lunch breaks lol. Not ideal but at least I'm actually doing it consistently.

Quote from Mike R. on December 2, 2025, 2:20 pmOne tip - dont just go with whoever they assign you first. You can switch therapists easily. I went through 3 before finding one I really connected with. The platform is good but the match makes all the difference.
